Safety Precautions for Using Aluminium Scaffolding

Points to watch in use

At least two competent workers should assemble, dismantle and move a mobile aluminium scaffold.

Check that every component is in good condition and undamaged.

To remove the hazards from assembly, dismantling and moving altogether, make sure the work area has been checked for safety. Pay particular attention to the ground - whether it is level or sloping, and whether there are obstructions - and to wind speed. The ground must be able to carry the mobile aluminium scaffold.

Always climb up by the internal ladder of the mobile aluminium scaffold. Adjustable legs are only for setting the scaffold to the required height. Components must be raised within the area where the scaffold can be used safely. Top components must be handed down by hand, and watch for overhead hazards such as cables. Nobody and nothing may be on the scaffold while it is being moved.

Loading one side only can make a scaffold unstable, so the maximum one-sided load is 20 kg.
