How to Move Aluminium Scaffolding Safely

Moving a mobile aluminium scaffold

Wind speed must not exceed 29 km/h (force 4) when an aluminium scaffold is moved. Safety comes first - this cannot be ignored.

Before moving, release the castor brakes.

Raise all four outriggers far enough to clear obstructions.

Make sure there is nobody and nothing on the scaffold while it is being moved.

Never lift the scaffold with plant or a crane to move it.

Check that every castor and outrigger is back in contact with the ground. Use a spirit level to check that the scaffold is vertical, and adjust the adjustable legs accordingly.

Lock the castors again.

Remember: never carry out an operation you are not sure about.
