Installation Steps for Aluminium Scaffolding

YANGST aluminium scaffolding follows EN 1004 strictly, and its basic assembly principle fully meets the 3T safety standard.

The method below is the safe and efficient way to build a mobile aluminium scaffold system. Even an inexperienced operative who follows these instructions will be working within all current safety regulations.

Always fit the platform deck with the hatch on the side where the ladder is, if a ladder is fitted.

Make sure the hatch opens towards the outside of the mobile scaffold, not towards the middle.

Once the platform deck is in place, climb up on the inside by a reliable route. You may sit on the deck while you rest.

So that guardrails can be fitted on both sides of the deck, sit down and fit the horizontal ledgers to the vertical tubes of the frame.

Read the specific installation instructions for the guardrails.

As a rule, guardrails are needed on every side, even where an outrigger frame can be fitted on the outside - fit that frame if you want it, or where the rules require it.

Never stand on a platform deck until you are certain it is completely safe.

Dismantling

To dismantle a mobile aluminium scaffold, work through the installation instructions in reverse order, and note the following points.

Once you are sitting on the deck with the hatch, begin removing the diagonal braces or guardrails.

First remove the ledger at the far end, furthest from the deck with the hatch.

When removing guardrail frames and protective ledgers, release the clamp furthest from the deck with the hatch first.

Then sit on the edge of that deck, release the nearby clamps and recover the ledgers or frames.
