When buying ringlock scaffolding, most customers want to know: is this ringlock system any good, will it meet the requirements of the job, and what counts as a quality, compliant product? This article looks at those common questions.

As one of the main access tools for work at height, ringlock scaffolding is connected by a rosette and wedge. That allows it to be built into a geometrically stable system to suit different tasks: high load capacity, easy to dismantle. It is therefore found wherever work at height is needed - bridges, highways, metros, tunnels and many other industries. Clearly the system performs well, otherwise it would not be so widely used. Beyond its wide application, what makes ringlock scaffolding good? The answer follows.

Five advantages of ringlock scaffolding
Advantage 1: distinctive design that saves labour. The joint uses a rosette and wedge, giving reliable two-way self-locking and removing the need for nuts. Because there are fewer components, erection and dismantling are much faster - three to five times faster than conventional scaffolding - and one person with one hammer can install it.
Advantage 2: less steel, less material. For the same supported volume, a ringlock system uses only 72% of the steel of a cuplock system, and weighs one third to one half less.

Advantage 3: built to the job, saving time. Ringlock scaffolding can be configured to the needs of the site - single or double row scaffolds, support frames, support columns and so on - meeting different requirements and greatly improving efficiency.
Advantage 4: long service life, saving money. Ringlock components are hot-dip galvanised inside and out, resist knocks and impacts, look good, need no painting and last more than 15 years. Maintenance is needed only every three to five years - less trouble, less effort and less cost.

What a quality ringlock system looks like
A compliant ringlock system shows these details: 1. Welding with advanced automatic equipment, with no missed, weak or false welds; 2. Galvanising controlled strictly, with no misses, improving corrosion resistance and giving 20% longer life than ordinary products; 3. Every component - rosette, cast steel head, steel tube, wedge - inspected to AQL sampling levels; 4. Adjustable base jacks that cope with uneven ground, with high-strength threads for easy levelling; 5. Connecting rods that join the standards above and below, keeping the load even and the system stable.
In summary, ringlock scaffolding performs well and saves labour, material, time and money. When buying, choose a compliant product - that is what protects both the work and the people doing it.
