Fibreglass insulated scaffolding (also called an "insulated work platform") is a scaffold whose main body is made of fibreglass and epoxy resin. Its structure consists of:
- high-strength insulated tubes as the main material;
- ladder frames connected by horizontal and diagonal braces;
- outriggers combined with insulated platform boards.
Live-line insulated scaffolds erect quickly, dismantle easily and need no tools at all. Fibreglass scaffolds offer high mechanical strength and excellent insulation, making them ideal for live working at height and a perfect substitute where insulated aerial platforms cannot gain access.
The insulated tubes used in INSTANT fibreglass scaffolds are stronger than ordinary steel and 30% lighter than aluminium. The material absorbs very little water, stays non-conductive in damp conditions, and combines light weight with high strength and insulation.
Like INSTANT aluminium scaffolds, the fibreglass version assembles without tools - light, fast, safe and efficient.
Features:
1) High-visibility orange
2) Excellent electrical insulation
3) Fast assembly and dismantling
4) Corrosion resistant
Technical data:
1) Design certified for safe working
2) Complies with European, Australian and New Zealand standards
Safety ratings:
1) 5 kV DC insulation
2) 110 kV and 220 kV AC withstand voltage
3) 80 kV DC withstand voltage
Fibreglass insulated scaffolding is the best choice for live-line work at height.
It is widely used in data centres, power stations, substations, fuel stations and aircraft manufacturing and maintenance - wherever work at height demands electrical insulation. It keeps operators safe and prevents damage to sensitive equipment.
